Quantified Meditation
in
Motion
Series

The "Quantified Meditation in Motion" project aims to explore and validate the therapeutic potential of human movement for mental health. Specifically, it investigates how movement can help in self-regulating the central nervous system, presenting an effective non-pharmacological aid in facilitating mental well-being. This project benefits the general population, particularly those dealing with anxiety, depression, and PTSD.

Objectives

Expected Outcomes

The project anticipates validating the mental health benefits of different types of human movement, leading to the development of effective personalized meditations. The findings are expected to highlight the importance of physical activity in promoting mental well-being and provide holistic, accessible, and effective ways to enhance mental health and quality of life. Potential challenges in interpreting EEG data and integrating psychological assessments will be addressed through rigorous methodological approaches.

Future Directions

Future research aims to expand participant diversity by including a wider range of ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds. The project will explore different forms of movement, utilize advanced EEG monitoring techniques, and conduct longitudinal studies to assess long-term benefits. Integration of psychological and physiological measures will further enhance the understanding of movement-based interventions. A detailed timeline will outline specific phases for these expansions, fostering a new era of holistic mental health care through innovative, movement-based therapies.
